Little Liesl

There is nothing like appreciation photos. I made this dress for a friend when I heard that she was expecting a girl. Since Emily is creative I thought she would love an Urbin Boutique original. Little Liesl is now 3 months and fits into this dress perfectly. She is very photogenic for 3 months don't you think? How precious. Thanks for the photos Emily!

When making this dress style, my favorite thing to do is to take coordinating fabrics and mix match the bodice of this dress with a different, often larger pattern, for the skirt. I have more dress like this one on my etsy site...www.jessicaurbin.etsy.com. Stop by and shop.

Emily also has a business of her own. She makes high end invitations. You can visit her site at http://www.emilykpaperie.com/. Take a look.

Military Style Hat

This is an Amy Butler pattern I tried recently for a friends little boy. The military style hat is so cute. Since this is a bit more time consuming this will be available through custom orders only. This hat sells for $30.00, please emaili me if you are interested.

Joel Dewberry

Joel Dewberry Fabric, in one word...beautiful. My friend sent me this fabric and asked me to make a dress out of it. I am in love with this fabric and have enough left to make another one to put on reserve! I used some natural wood buttons on this one too! See my etsy site for more dresses like this one www.jessicaurbin.etsy.com

Draw String Pants

Instead of elastic why not a draw string? Created through necessity, all of the elastic was gone, and I wanted to complete this pair of pants that I started yesterday. I find that usually when you don't have something it pushes you to be a little more creative. Hope you enjoy.

New Items on Urbin Boutique

I have been working hard to put some new items up on my etsy site but they are selling faster than I can make them. I am so grateful for all of the support. I have been tossing around the idea of making children's cloths out of old and unused items. I have a table cloth that will make a cute little dress, which I will complete soon. If anyone has any unused and/or abandoned textiles and would like to get them off your hands please let me know. Until then here is a sneak peek at a few new items that I have been working on:

Alex

This cute little boy Alex belongs to our friends Meghan and Chris. They bought Alex one of the first pairs of pants I ever made and now he finally fits into them. Doesn't he look so cute!!
